Ted Gutwein has been with Microstar from the beginning, and has worked with Homer even longer (God help him). With over 36 years of experience, he simply makes things work. Prior to joining Microstar Ted was a Chief Systems Engineer at Harris Corporation. His list of projects is almost as impressive as his ping pong acumen.
Ted was also responsible for Antenna System Engineering for the Windsat Spaceborne Antenna System, including range test planning and sell-off procedures. Windsat is a Navy satellite system for measuring wind speed and direction over the ocean.
Some of Ted's other high profile contracts:
- LFMR - Low Frequency Microwave Radiometer for the Navy NROSS program (responsible for trade studies);
- Test Operations Control Center for the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station;
- Performance contour analysis of coverage zones for RF command systems for the Eastern Test Range at Patrick Air Force Base;
- Ground Test Equipment system engineering for the ALAGE (Advanced Launched Aerospace Ground Equipment).
All the above major projects involved activities from conceptual design through critical design review. Prior to his career at Microstar and Harris Ted worked for EG&G and McDonnell-Douglas.
